Good morning.Sharon Regional Health System is facing mounting financial trouble after the state and federal governments slapped the facility with over three-million-dollars in tax liens. Documents show the hospital owes the I-R-S more than three million dollars in withheld employee payroll taxes, alongside another two-hundred-thousand dollars to the state for unpaid unemployment contributions. Separately, three former doctors have filed a civil fraud lawsuit against the hospital's non-profit owner, claiming they were never paid for medical services.In Lawrence County education news, the Ellwood City Area School District is warning families that major structural cuts could be coming. After approving a fifth consecutive tax hike to fight a massive budget deficit, the superintendent admitted the district faces a negative fund balance and may soon recommend closing an elementary school or cutting staff.And Ellwood City Borough Council officially approved a two-hundred-and-fifty-eight-thousand-dollar street paving bid to Protech Asphalt Maintenance.
